That wasn't funny.

Wild ducks are Mallards, and you'll need to be as fast as the Mallard to get away from the eggs you'll get chucked at you with jokes like that.

I hope this doesn't start a chain reaction, because you'll be saddled with a whole lot of posts and suggestions of a frame-up.

I'm tyred of this already.

It's a lot worse than that

I cannot post a link for some reason, but in today's edition of The Times, Chris Hoy says that Top Gear is the best show on TV. Our hero is a closet Clarkson fan  You can go off people.

It was a backhanded compliment: he really meant that most TV is so awful, it makes Top Gear look good.

On some silly TV channel or other just a few hours ago there was a reshowing of an old edition of "Room 101" (I think that's the number - it's the programme where the celebrity guest confines the things that aggravate them most to oblivion).

Paul Daniels was the celebrity on the edition that I stumbled upon - I came upon it by accident and didn't quite catch his opening words, but the "destined for oblivion" item that he was submitting at the time was either Jeremy Clarkson or the programme "Top Gear".

The second rate commedian who hosts "Room 101" wasn't in agreement with this (which shows how second rate he is), but Paul Daniels supported his submission by saying that Clarkson came from Doncaster or somewhere near (it's from Rotherham actually), and the locals were embarassed by him, taking the view that he was the village idiot gone AWOL. Not totally quite a verbatim quote, but the village idiot bit is.

I didn't like Paul Daniels before that, but now he's gone up a notch in my estimation. Just as Chris Hoy has gone down in it - and he's not as good looking as Victoria Pendleton.

Would you care what VP said, so long as she smiled and looked in your direction?

It depends what she said.

Anyway, if she looked in my direction, she'd laugh. I have that effect on attrective young ladies.

Just shows how easy some people can be swayed. The only second rate person mentioned there is Daniels himself.

Hmm Ian - you should take my post with a pinch of humour - but he can't be all bad, considering his take on the famed Jeremy.

I do and I also happen to like Top Gear and the crew but Daniels I just don't get.

Each to their own though eh.
