Music on the turbo trainer

My trusty Sony MP3 walkman has finally died, probably due to some corrosive sweat ingress from ferocious turboing - I used to put it in my back pocket. So I'm in the market for a new one. Only it turns out that a personal MP3 player is now technology from out of the ark. Sony ones are either really expensive or the alternative is something from China. I bought one from Temu for about a fiver and it lasted less than 1 hour.
I don't want to use my mobile because of the sweat.
What do you folks do to get music on the turbo?

I use an ancient version of Sandisk Clip Plus. New types are available for about £40, or plenty second hand I imagine. My old one has a sort of belt clip so it can be clipped to clothing and so does not need to be stuffed in a pocket. I bought it many years ago for touring, but now it is used on the turbo for my infrequent sessions.

Got the music centre stack and head phones. Thus can play Cd's Tapes and LPs. 1 CD is a good length for a hard work out

Why is sweat a problem. Use bluetooth headphones and keep the mobile away from any sweat. If you really need the mobile in contact with sweaty skin get a eg aquapac (or similar) waterproof bag for it.
If it's a "turbo" I assume it's at home so maybe get a bluetooth speaker so you don't even need headphones?

I have a tall plant stand. On it will be ATV remote, drink, glasses, phone, fruit. All at hand but all clear of any sweat.

As above. Bluetooth wireless ear phones, Spotify on my phone, in a pocket or just on a nearby shelf.

As above. Bluetooth earphones with a decent battery life (the small ear bud type rather than over ear), Spotify (my son has a subscription I use) and my phone to my right on a stool out of the sweat zone.
I do have a sweat saturated phone on the bars which integrates with my turbo (smart turbo - Zwift) and it seems to function fine, just wipe it down every now and then.

I stream music to a Bluetooth speaker from either my phone, iPad or I still have an old IPod, with most of my CD collection on it.
You can still get 2nd hand iPod shuffles on EBay for about £30. The shuffle clips to your vest or bib shorts. I still have some wired headphones if some privacy is required. I’ve still got a shuffle too somewhere.

I'm not one to turbo, but if I did I'd just use an external music system rather than earphones/buds

Yeah, ditto - all of the pain and none of the pleasure. During lockdown here I'd just put on the France Info news programme, which usually reflects what I feel on the god-damned turbo.

MP3 players are still available on Amazon. Can't stand using Amazon myself, but needs must. Had at least one player recently, produces a decent sound quality (Nb. Only issue has been the fact it doesn't have a "lock" button, so care to avoid changing tunes is needed)
Slight nuisance, having to place it alongside when working out, but mines lasted at least several months of intense use (Nb. Much longer than a Sony - regret taking mine into the gym, lasted a few weeks prior to problems developing)

Attach a card to your forks then listen to the ping as the spokes pass by. Music to your ears.

Thanks for the replies. I think I've sorted it. Music is on the laptop. I've downloaded a MP3 player app and will try using it with some wireless earphones I have.

Bluetooth ear buds. And set your phone far enough to not get sweaty
