It may be a bit heavy for a cycling tent for 2 but I had an email with an offer from Joe Brown/ The Climbers Shop on the aforementioned tent at £495 (rrp £900). That seems like a reasonable deal for a bombproof tent so I thought I would post here.

Note that it says "These tents were purchased from Terra Nova in October 2023 and are 2022 vintage so have the standard nylon ripstop inner rather than the PFC free nylon as used in 2023 models."
A very quick search shows a couple of other online stores with a similar deal, so you may want to check for the same caveat. Most seemed to be charging substantially more.

I think this Vango tent is better value for money.

I am here. Where are you?
Re: Terra Nova Quasar 2 Person Tent offer
Since the two are very much apples and oranges, which is better value for money is very much down to what a given punter wants to do with it.Cowsham wrote: 5 Mar 2024, 8:57pm I think this Vango tent is better value for money.

The Quasar is, famously, a bunker-class tent designed to take just about any flak thrown at it, and the Omega... isn't.
Casting about for a good mix of space, strength and weight and sub-Hilleberg prices recently we got a Bach Guam 2 and at a discounted price under £500 rather than the more usual prices of £650-800 I'd say it's very good, but I'd add that like any tent it's a set of compromises and whether it's better value than a Quasar or an Omega 250 is down to context.
