How many Miles have you done this year??? Own up!!

Post by gar »

I have done five miles a day every day for the whole year.

That should make 1800miles using my upper body to propel myself. I know 2300km!

I think I did nearly 2000m before I set off in April for my 3 month tour of Scandinavia. I reset the computer when I left for that and did 8987m (the tour was 6000 of those) before chnaging the computer just before I left for Uni in September and have done 1850m on the new computer so all in all that's about 12-13000. By the time I ride 250m home to Salisbury for the hols (luggage going by car) it should be about 13000m. Gone through a lot of bike parts as a result!

Andy :-)

By the way, if you do the Dorchester circuit again you are very welcome to call in for lunch.

To be sure you, would have to let me know on the mb here as I don't use the phone.

Only about 7,000 so far. 5,000 of those are commuting miles.
I use several different bikes and my commuter/shopping bike gets the most use, about 4,000 miles. On good days I use my Specialized S Works for commuting.

I've developed handlebar palsy, which has affected my distance while I've learned to cope with the condition. I've recorded over 3000km on the GPS, but that still leaves the first 2-3 months of the year unaccounted for when I was doing quite a lot of distance.

I'm going to ask for proof of mileage in the end so if you are telling untruths roadrunner you will be found out.

How can you prove that you have not used a bike at all this year?

Did you log Nought on several days?

3590 road miles and an estimated 1000 mountain biking where i don't use a computer.
The numbers might not be huge but i've had some of the best riding of my life this year including a couple of weeks mtb'ing in Moab Utah and my first Great Yorkshire Bike Ride.

As I've only just started, my mileage is a modest 657 miles in 3 months, but this will increase dramatically when I find someone to ride with!
(I hope)

The time to increase mine by 250m in 2 days approaches (the journey home form uni in Bangor to Salisbury.) My stuff is going back tomorrow with a kind driver who lives hearby and studies here. I leave 8am Sunday.

At least the forecast is good!
