Enclosed Phone Holder

Hi all.
Recently my cheap rubber Halfords phone holder finally snapped, and I'm on the lookout for a new one.
I would love an enclosed one if that exists? As I do a lot of very wet and muddy riding.
Anyone got any suggestions?

And preferably quite a sturdy one as it's for a mountain bike:)

Do you want to be able to use the touch screen through the case?

Quadlock with the waterproof cover.
The only thing I recommend as you’ve already discovered what happens with cheap stuff.

From the archives:
There is this Fahrer pouch that works well:

especially in combination with their holder.
I have a Topeak Smartphone Drybag: it works well enough, though it's a pain that the roll-top seal covers the camera lens window, so whenever I want to stop and take a quick photo I have to unroll the seal and hold it away from the lens while I take the picture. Worse is that the mounting band cracked the first time I fitted it, way before it got tight enough to stop the mounting bracket rotating round the handlebars. Fortunately a broad ziptie makes a cheap and effective replacement. The plastic cover allows fingertip gestures and usually (not always) prevents the screen from registering phantom touches in wet weather. The mount still tends to rotate slightly over rough ground but that's not really a problem if you've mounted the bracket on the stem.

My Redmi Note 9 (6.53" screen, 162.3 x 77.2 x 8.9 mm) fits into the 6" Topeak bag without the need to remove the phone's protective polycarbonate backing case, so you might just get your Samsung in if it's "naked" - i.e. not wearing any case of its own. I bought the drybag off the shelf in H*lf*rds, so I had the chance to try fitting my phone in it before purchasing.

I used to use an AquaPac case which has an adjustable neck cord so work round my neck, tucked under t-shirt so it doesn't swing around.

Touch operation on screen works OK but face recognition (iPhone) rarely works so you have to key in PIN code which is not difficult.

OK.
I think i would prefer and handlebar holder though.
Thanks anyway.

IME and if your budget stretches get a dedicated cycle GPS and put the phone in a freezer bag in your pocket. Lots of advantages including battery life

I've found trying to use touch screens in the rain a real problem. Either the sensitivity through the cover is lost, or it's so sensitive the rain drops are taken as commands. My experience is based on the Topeak Drybag, the lid of an Ortlieb bar bag and a Quadlock with Poncho. It's also based on 1,000's of hours use as it's an essential for the deliveries I've been doing for six years, plus conversations I've had with others doing similar. Using a bar bag that sits high on the bars and tucking the phone close behind it can shelter it from some of the rain, though it is far from perfect.
Other than the rain, the Quadlock is by far my favorite, I only add the Ponco when needed, the main part of the case stays on permanently. easy to attach and remove, very secure, lots of fitting options.

For leisure use, where I don't need the apps and Google maps, I use a Garmin.

I always keep my phone in waterproof case (£15 off Amazon) as I am pretty rough on it, I occasionally use it on the bike so just bought a stick on garmin mount. Fits on any garmin holder and is secure.
