Gosh yes, an out of date national union of journalists card.
I imagine the police were as impressed by that as I am.
Does explain the "spelling" though.
If Pinhead is anything like me, massive sausage fingers, a little keypad and predictive text is all it requires to turn any post into something completely meaningless....
On the plus side, I can fit a marathon plus tyre without using tyre levers... swings and roundabouts.

Steady on ... the mods will be slapping you on the wrists. I agree with you but didn't bother to post as I knew what would follow.

I thought it a bit unnecessary too, but sometimes things just annoy and it’s hard to see past them. The tittle of the OP annoyed so the thread was left unread for some time. I’m glad that I set that feeling aside and had a look … but I do think that obvious errors should be corrected, well corrected as best someone (self included) can identify and action.
Don’t fret, it’s OK to: ride a simple old bike; ride slowly, walk, rest and admire the view; ride off-road; ride in your raincoat; ride by yourself; ride in the dark; and ride one hundred yards or one hundred miles. Your bike and your choices to suit you.

As I said, I have Dyslexia, AUTISM etc, you would think some would grow up and I also posted a new card I had not bothered to scan just to pacify the "strange" person, don't worry about admin they only complain about me they wouldn't think "he has disabilities that concern his posts so we will tell others to cut the .......... but if "I" make a mistake I am warned with a ban.
Okay... here's the point to life....
It's like a big drum full of grit and sand - like a washing machine or a cement mixer and we're the coloured rocks, the uncut gems and whatever else that sparkles when you give them a good polish - and we're inside the drum...
And we bounce and bang against each other, every revolution of the drum and it can be uncomfortable but every time it happens we get slightly smoother slightly more polished, until we gleam...
And that's how this forum, indeed many forums work.. we're never gonna be 100% right all the time... and if you accept that and roll with the criticism and be prepared to either correct the mistakes you make or laugh at them.. then everything goes a little more smoothly... and we learn alot...
..today I learnt about the different speeds people are comfortable walk at....

I did the Marathon plus tyres on my bike by hand the other week and I don't have massive fingers (I weigh less than 60 kilos and am about 5 seven), mostly technique rather than strength.
I can confirm that your submission has been dealt with via a positive outcome fine & penalty points.
Due to data protection, I cannot be more specific.

When I was undergoing advanced motorcycle training, wore a POLITE NOTICE- THINK BIKE vest, it is actually recommneded by police for horse riders. When I was in the country , cars would slow down and keep their distance. In town , cars would fall back. On the city bypass when cars stopped or slow moving, they would move asside as I came through. When I was close, cars will have reaslsied that the vest said POLITE,not POLICE,but never had any issue from other car drivers or the police.
With regard to cameras, looked at footage of myCycliq rear camera. At traffic lights whilst stationary, the driver of a car behind was smiling and waving at me, getting his passenger to look, he had clearly realised he was being filmed, probably made his day.
You would think that most motorists would these days know many have cameras and like ME will report them, if this is his living, tough, he has been reported.
I dont think the camera message has got through to most drivers yet at all, Ive never witnessed an overtake and thought yeah theyre doing what theyre actually supposed to be doing rather than being simply nice about giving me space, because theyre worried Im carrying a camera on my bike and theyll get a letter from the police about it (thats another debate entirely btw) if they dont.
no one treats me on the road like you know mind your driving around this one abit because she looks like one of those cyclists with camera, I get treated like Im just fair game to harass most of the time.
I often joke I think I could ride with one of those TdF style camera bikes with me, and Id still get close passed by some drivers, they literally dont look beyond their bonnet, and they dont pay any attention to cyclists or any subtle or not so subtle messages we or the "war on motorists" cooked up by the media might be sending them.
and I know colleagues who ride with those pass pixi things, who have been sat at traffic lights in prime, so the sign is right in the drivers eyeline in front of them, and theyve still had that driver then try to pull alongside them to try and get the drop & overtake done before the lights went green, only when they had to point at the sign, point at the camera, point at the driver, and shout "youre on camera mate!!" does the penny drop, but only for 15 secs or so as they hang back abit then give a bit more space overtake, but still somehow manage to make a dangerous pass as its into a blind bend or hill, across a junction, forces oncoming traffic to brake.
so some people who drive just dont get it, hence why your van driver, isnt remotely thinking about the chances they might get videoed, let alone the potential consequences of it, hence the way they drive, I doubt that one corner was a one off example.
It bloody annoys me because there could have been a GROUP of cyclists, family, club anything and morons like this can end a life
I hope that if nothing else this tells the company who WILL be done by the Police (I will post the entire video after) TELL YOUR DRIVERS they are and will be caught and lose their jobs.
