Does mensa have a cycle club?

In my cycle cage at work this morning I was lucky or unlucky enough to overhear a couple of young ladies chatting whilst locking up their bikes.......

Apparently it was better to lock your bike by the front wheel rather than the back wheel as if someone wanted to pinch the bike they are not likely to steal the rear wheel because of the chain and they wouldn't be able to remove the wheel from it.

So, does anyone know if I could refer them to a mensa cycle club?!

I did once completely manage to miss the frame when locking it to a Sheffield stand - don't ask me how. When I got back the lock was just resting against the bike.

Do I qualify?

I think you need to find them a 'dumb blonde cycle club', this happy cyclist is a member :)

That is a great clip. Thanks

As far as I can remember, none of them were blonde but were really serious!

Well it rather depends, if your lock goes thru front wheel, round frame and solid object then possibly yes.
If you only lock front wheel to a post you could come back to locked up front wheel and nothing else.

The sad thing is the frequent sight where adjacent bike racks have a front wheel only and a bike without a front wheel next door.............. A whole working bike nicked!

I don't want to belong to any club that'll have Jimmy Saville as a member.
