Hi, after a period of sulking and selling various bikes, I’ve found the treatment for my RA is helping, so after lots of thought I e decided to get a Moulton apb, on which I’ll be doing some light touring all being well, I’ve got a TSR front pannier rack on the way for it and was going to adapt a spare Old Man Mountain rack I already have for the rear, I know the Ortlieb rack is designed for 26” but it looks like it could fit, it flexes to for the rear suspension movement ?
Cheers Peter

The Quick Rack is not designed for suspension rears, locating at the hub and on to the seatpost. So I'd think not really a goer.
This will be a problem with most racks that mount on the rear triangle somewhere, I'd think. Moulton's own rear racks cantilever from the main frame ahead of the pivot (and sit low without side-legs, they're really built with rack packs in mind rather than panniers).
Pete.

Thanks for the reply, I’d read a review on bike packing.com and it explained that the front mount is through a nylon bush and the rear mounts mounted similarly, they’ve tested it on a full sus MTB etc, I think I need to find a local stockist and have a look myself,
Cheers Peter

It might fit, but it will still interfere with (and defeat) the suspension being partly unsuspended weight as far as I can see.

The apb’s Pashley made rack had a single bolt sliding through a short piece of tube brazed to the back of the seat post and the other support was a tube extending from a small lug on the bottom bracket to the back of the rack. This gives it the appropriate height as well as foot clearance. Any other rack designed for large wheeled cycles is likely to be all wrong if fitted to the rear triangle…
Having owned and toured on apb / tsr / sst, it's actually the apb that had the most satisfactory rear rack, at least in my view. Plain, simple, rather cheaply made - and on mine, the brazing on the horizontal bolt tube cracked… but effective.
