Has anyone seen ETRTO 47-222 tyres for sale anywhere, or are they fictional? My friend has a special needs tricycle fitted with them, though I haven't been able to verify the sizing myself

That site shows they are sold out.

The tyre size 47-222 is equal to 11 x 1 3/4. If you do a search for "11 x 1 3/4" rather than "47-222", then you may have more luck:
