Spam thread 'Give my car a unique, stylish look!' now removed

The opening post of the thread was rightly reported shortly after it was posted, but I left it up in order to see what would happen next. The spammer has now edited the post to add a spam link, and I have accordingly removed the thread and banned them. I did not do it immediately the thread was reported, because sometimes the spammers use a slightly different tactic, and instead of editing a post to add the link, a second user account is used to post a reply to the OP containing the link. This gives the opening post and the reply the appearance of being genuine. I waited to see if that tactic would be used, because I would then also ban the second account.
