Yes! I didn't think he'd do it - pleased to be wrong! A truly superb sprint.

That feeling is general. There were smiles and congratulations from all directions, in the peloton and from the general Tour personnel. He is a popular guy.
The win followed the course he has followed many times before (34!). Intelligent positioning and well timed and rapid finale.
It's the same the whole world over
It's the poor what gets the blame
It's the rich what gets the pleasure
Isn't it a blooming shame?

There will be no holding him now. His confidence will be sky high after beating all the top sprinters. How much further will he raise the bar before Nice and retirement. :D

made my day, there was always the fear his enthusiasm would get the better of him like at Harrogate, and take him out but he kept a cool head et voila!

Can he add more? only time will tell.

And well done to the guy that bunny hopped over Mads Pederson when he went down in the melee as the sprinters swung across the road trying to catch the manx missile's slipstream. :D

Axel Zingle (Cofidis) was the bunny hopper at 65 kph.

Wonderful!
To see everyone congratulating him showed the nicest side of racing. Everybody seemed pleased with the result.

It was so so exciting. I hadn’t thought he’d manage it and was so delighted I was wrong! Also particularly pleasing that the awful bully Philipsen couldn’t get past him.

unless injury or something stops him, it seems quite likely that TP will break Cav's record within four years. Frightening, isn't it?
