Conflict with Objects and the law?
Re: Conflict with Objects and the law?
And this is why CUK no longer get my money. They should stick to cycling and to be honest , touring as was the main feature of the creation. Whatever the views are on other cycling aspects an organisation should not step outside its remit. I believe that this indicates that those who decided that such a statement should be released have been unprofessional to say the least. Clear example of putting personal views first.

I'm not sure what you mean by touring, it's a word with many different connotations. "Cycle touring" can be interpreted simply as "non- racing cycling", and personally I think that's closest to the meaning held throughout the history of the organisation.mattsccm wrote: ↑16 Nov 2024, 1:24pm And this is why CUK no longer get my money. Certainly the CTC since it's outset has been a political campaigning organisation, and supporting inclusivity in cycling seems a perfectly reasonable objective, which this is in line with. Equally, it does seem a bit bandwagon jumping.

It's a perfectly reasonable statement - and it's months old now!
What a narrow world you must ride along. Good luck riding your bike in the UK without ever benefitting from the work CTC/CUK do
