I may not have thought this through.....most of my bikes have been rim brake, so I don't think anyone would worry about scratches?

I have one disc brake bike I have ridden for a few years; the current tyres are folding bead, so I don't use levers to get them off, I simply push the bead into the rim well and the tyre comes off easily with my fingers, and its quicker than getting the levers out and putting them away again. However, I think the previous tyres were wire bead, so I would have used a lever or two, I guess.

I found one mark on each rim.......

I don't think that can be a lever mark....probably a stone on some track? And the rim join to the left, I think.

I guess that could be a lever mark; not something I'm going to lose sleep over, I'm afraid.
