Campag front chain ring compatability

Hi, I'm running a triple campag veloce 9 speed set up. The middle chain ring (42) is showing some sign of wear and could do with replacing.

I've moved to NZ and having some trouble sourcing a replacement, silly question but could I fit a similar shimano chain ring? as there's no trouble sourcing the latter.

Shimano road stuff is 130 BCD, Campag is 135 BCD, so I'm afraid the answer is 'No'.

(BCD = bolt circle diameter.)

You can replace it with a standard campag 39 inner ring, if you can't get a 42. I've done this on my triple and it works fine.

Can you not get TA rings?
They are made in a number of bolt patterns and I've always found the quality very good. I always use them for the outer -- I cannot turn a 52T like I did in my youth so a 48 outer ( winter) and 49T (summer) works a treat !!
