Hi all
Can anyone recommend a MTB rear hub with sealed cartridge bearings? I am looking for a 6 bolt, QR suitable for 9 speed Shimano cassette.
Thanks all
Jim

Shimano Deore XT or just plain Deore.
Cup and cone bearings but will outlast most others including those with cartridge bearings. The bearings are well sealed and simple to service.

The Shimano M756 is very reliable, and fairly cheap.
The only thing is that, like most Shimano hubs, it will last much better if it's serviced before first use. Most Shimano hubs come with the bearings set too tight (due to not allowing for QR skewer tension), and are often a bit short of grease. If serviced when new, once every couple of years is fine.

Many (most?) bolt through hubs are available with adapters so that they can be used with QR axles. Pick one with a Shimano HG spline freehub body and your cassette will fit (may need a spacer if the hub is compatible with road 11s cassettes). As these hubs are typically built with cartridge bearings, the world is your lobster.
