There absolutely needs to be further discussions on rider safety and what the riders, the organisers, the UCI etc all need to do to improve it but rider tracking is irrelevant to that incident.
You may be right, but most of cycling twitter (etc) is saying she'd effectively disappeared. e.g. this guy: https://twitter.com/brismithy?lang=en-GB

Probably shows again why we shouldn't speculate until full investigation :-/

Where did you get that information from? The Zurich police and the Swiss media have said there was no tv footage of her accident. It is believed an hour passed before she was found unconscious in the woods. You may have seen the marshals and team cars and medics on the telly or YouTube, but where did you get the idea that they arrived 'almost immediately' after the accident?
