Can anyone recommend a flattish route across London taking in most of the big sights that can be done in about 5 or 6 hours starting at Euston Train Station?
We thought we would take the train there for a day in March as it has been a while since we visited the capital.

Re: London Route
If I was doing this I would ask cycle.travel to create a circular route from Euston, then add via points and drag them about to the places I want to visit

There's LOADS of stuff like that. Search online for "London bike tours" or London sightseeing by bike" or anything along those lines.
Firstly, work out what sights you want to see, plot them on a map. That'll give you an idea of how to route your day cos there's no point going from Tower Bridge to Buckingham Palace then to the Shard then to the British Museum cos you'll be doubling back on yourself all day.
Surprisingly, Google Maps is very good for cycling in London, shows you all the segregated routes.
Some of the online guides have some nice out of the way / unusual sights too, well worth having a read through guides like Hidden London to find the more offbeat places.
Also consider how much you might want to park up and walk because if you're doing lots of that, it becomes a lot easier to use a hire bike like Santander Cycles (Boris Bikes).or Lime e-bikes.

Re: London Route
Thanks. The cultural route of 18 miles looks doable in about 4 hours.
Re: London Route
You're not going to see it all, so for me I'd head down to the river via Hyde Park and Chelsea and follow it, maybe after crossing and riding through Battersea Park. Then East as far as you like and return on the other side, or get on a Clipper boat back. Back to Euston from the river, I'd go via Covent Garden. IMO it's only traveling along the river that really gives a sense of it's importance to the history of London. Even if your interest is just ticking off the sights, I doubt you'd get more per mile on any other route. Not least that many of the bridges are themselves iconic landmarks.

Re: London Route
Here’s roughly what I’ve done in the past when we’ve had visitors from foreign parts, walking rather than by bike, and using the bus for short hops when people start to flag. Lunch break at Covent Garden.
It goes via Baker Street because “everyone” seems to want to see where Sherlock Holmes lived, and via South Ken to “bookmark” the museums for return visits, and sometimes via Harrods just so people can say they’ve seen it!
