First post pics

Post by Radman »

A silly question, I was doing my first post as a cycling uk member a little while ago and couldn’t workout how to upload an image to my tandem bike ad. What do you do after clicking the image icon and getting the brackets please. I’m using a phone if that makes a difference.

Also where do posts go after you submit them for
Moderation, can the user still see what they submitted or do they have to wait for it to be published and edit it then.

Thanks

P.S. I managed to add a url ok.

You can either...

A.
Upload the image to somewhere under your control, such as Flickr, Dropbox, or Google, copy the image URL, paste it into your message, highlight it, and click the image button, so you see something like this:

This will display in the post as an image, unless you took steps to prevent it, as I did.
If you use Google, you've got to set the image permissions to allow all and sundry to view the image. You being able to see the image doesn't mean that someone else will necessarily see it.

or

B.
drag and drop an image file into the message area, or go to Attachments (below the message are) and Add files.
After this, the file will be listed as an attachment, and you can click "Place inline" to add it to the message, which will show as in the message area, and as an image after posting or preview.

Method B may not be available until you've been a forum member for a while (no idea, but such limits aren't uncommon)
A method B image also may not be included if someone replies quoting your post

Where's the town?
