I bought a cube Editor e-bike in August. The integral lights and pannier were extra and the shop didn’t have them in stock to be able to fit them.
6 months later they still haven’t arrived! Gentle badgering of the bike shop just elicits the same response - it is Cube having difficulty sourcing parts, not them.
Is there anything I can do to pursue this further - does it have to be Cube parts for the integral lights? Has anyone else heard of this about Cube? Wondering what my next step should be.
Thank you for any advice/info. Sarah

Re: Cube . Long wait for lights?
Sounds unreasonable to me - i would ask for my money back if they wouldn't commit to be be able to fulfil in the immediate future.
By integral i assume its just a light that's permanently attached and runs off the bike battery, looking on Cubes website at their light selection they are showing some as out of stock but of you google the light you can find it elsewhere - eg:
https://www.tradeinn.com/bikeinn/en/aci ... lsrc=aw.ds
or source another e bike compatible light - as long as you have compatible cable attachment.
You would need to be comfortable fitting yourself - which should be straightforward, only complication maybe if you wanted/needed to route the cables internally - others on here may have experience and be able to comment.

Re: Cube . Long wait for lights?
A word of caution on Deeferdonk's otherwise excellent advice: I've seen it suggested that on bikes with Bosch motors (like this Cube Editor) the lighting circuit isn't activated by default and can only be activated by a dealer, using the special diagnostic software. If that hasn't already been done on yours you may be tied to buying from a dealer, with fitting included anyway.
Having said that, it means that your choice may be widened to a Bosch-compatible light and Bosch-certified e-bike dealers, not just Cube parts and dealers.
Looking at the Editor models that come with lights factory-fitted, they do seem designed to have internal wiring going down through a hole in the headset. That adds a lot to the complexity of a DIY fitting job. See the little curly wire just behind the light in the pic below.

Thank you both for taking the time to comment. You have been very helpful. Sarah
Re: Cube . Long wait for lights?
You're welcome. Thanks for taking the trouble to come back and say so.
One more thought: If you only cycle in areas that have street lights, consider buying some cheap battery lights that just strap on, so that you can get on with using the bike while you wait for the dealer to come up with the real thing. Shouldn't cost much. (Obviously don't tell the dealer you've done that - got to keep the pressure on!) A set of flashing mini lights can be had for a fiver or so.

Yes - I've already managed to wrestle a set of lights from the Dealer - a small triumph!
