Cycle-friendly B and B in Kirkwall

Post by David F »

As above, can anyone recommend a cycle-friendly B and B in Kirkwall? I will be camping for most of my stay but, as I will be arriving late off the Aberdeen ferry, I would like to have my first night's accommodation booked in advance.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Kirkwall campsite must be used to people arriving late off the ferry.

If you book in advance, it used to be that you got a key code for the entrance & communal building, but check it's still the same.

Thanks for your reply, Andrew. What you said about Kirkwall campsite facilitating late arrivals is still true, but I would prefer to avoid having to set up in the dark, possibly in poor weather and perhaps with others around me already settled for the night.
