When I got this laptop I decided to give the voice recognition a try, and opened a Word file.

"Testing testing 123, so does this voice recognition stuff actually work, then" I said,

And up on the screen came:

"Testing testing 123, so does this voice recognition stuff actually work, then? Yes thank you"

Just as I was beginning to think I'd got a lippy computer, I realised it could hear the radio too.

Believe it or not a forum member with exactly the same moniker - axel_knutt - posted about an extremely similar occurrence back in May of this year on this exact forum, now that's a remarkable coincidence!

Can't be cos some of the words are different.

I’m inclined to think that some genuine coincidences happen, that some things that could be attributed to coincidence are something else, and that our electronic devices sometimes spy on us. That depends on whether it is a purely mechanical one or one with any electrics / electronics in it. In this crazy world where our TV’s can listen in on us, etc., the ways of manipulating and monitoring people are constantly evolving.
