Shimano Steps e5000
So I have succumbed and had to get a pedal assist bike, a lovely GT e Pantera Dash equipped as it ticked all the boxes, I wont need the rear rack much so that's been taken off, but its just nice having the original if needed, anyway my question, I have Googled by the way, but I would like reassuring if possibly by someone who knows.

but there are a few Shimano displays on the market ranging from tiny to the pro ones that are supposed to replace the little bluetooth thingy, so could I buy one and disconnect the bluetooth thingy and have the display instead, these are also bluetooth for the app too, but I don't want to go pulling the cable plugs out with supplied tool if I am going to brick the bike, over to you, oh and thanks in advance for any replies.

I can't help directly, but probably worth asking at https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/forums ... cussion.2/ as well. A much more active forum than the ebike part of this one, with some very genned up contributors. (also I'm afraid quite a bit of rubbish, but on the whole it's pretty easy to identify the good bits.)
