While I was in the area last week, I popped into St John Street Cycles for a look at the the Thorn Range.

I've only just stopped drooling over the eXp range.

A bit out my price range for now but I might treat myself to one of their Audax or Club Tours.

I have an Audax M2, a great all round bike. Taking it to Corsica next week. I had an Audax Classic (as it is now called) a few years ago. Could be tempted by a Raven Tour soon. :)

I have an Audax Mk3 (bought as frameset only and used parts from donor bike)I really like it,it handles well, comfortable and reasonably light too, an allround great bike, the real plus is the tyre clearances which are ample for 28mm tyres and I reckon it could take a 32mm(I really need to try a 32 tyre in it)

Which one? I've just built up my Audax Mk.3 and I'm loving it. I've not had an all new bike since 1979.

Its the Mk 3, in green. I'm currently having a whale of a time selecting the bits that I need to acquire :D

Sounds great. I went for red, and its fitted out mostly with Shimano 105 stuff. The frame was out of stock for a long time, and I spent that time picking up nearly new bits off Ebay.

Have fun with yours, and post a picture. Mine's in the thread here (mudguards and comfy bar tape fitted since that picture) ...

Hi aesmith & davep.

What colour mudguards did yo go for?

I am just about to order my Mk3 and cannot decide which colour frame or mudguards to go for.

Mudguards. MUDGUARDS??? I'll have you know I'm currently trying to decide what colour Handlebars to get!!!
I have some nearly new Sks guards in silver, which I intend to reuse. I like the detail of the see through line, something which you dont get with the black ones.

Like this ! Except that the red is sort of "louder" in real life than appears in that picture.

Very nice looking bike, but I have to ask - how do you stay on that Brooks with the nose pointing down
