No need to feel scared as this news report confirms:

Protesters marched overwhelmingly peacefully through the city, meeting at London's Hyde Park and walking to the U.S. Embassy. The Met police reported "no issues'' with the protest itself, saying that it had stuck to the prescribed route. The route for Saturday's march, which coincided with Armistice Day, was intentionally drawn up by protest organizers to avoid London's war memorials such as the Cenotaph, where two minutes of silence were held to commemorate the U.K. war dead an hour before the march began.

London's police did, however, report incidents of far-right violence in the city, with about 100 counterprotesters arrested.
Yes, the recent marches and demonstrations expressing support and sympathy for Palestinians were overwhelmingly peaceful. And if Pebble has evidence that large numbers of participants were supporting Hamas then he should share it. It's a very nasty slur.

There were very few arrests, Unfortunately the numbers were inflated by the ridiculous proscription of Palestine Action.

There's been flags around the town centre for some time, including at the bus stop where migrants catch the buses to Wethersfield, but a day or two after the Huntingdon stabbing the main road form here to town was lined with them, every lamp post for over a mile. They remind me of this:

How do they ever get time to go cycling?

There is only one course of action when it comes to flags.. make sure you buy shares on which ever company is making them. Its a booming industry in this time of economic uncertainty.
..whether its the Union Flag, or the E.U... or Palestine's or any other, buy shares in the company which makes them. Speaking as a major share holder of 'flags.R.us' we should encourage more people to purchase more flags, either to be flown in public, used as table cloths, curtains or bed linen... After all, what could be more British in the bedroom than 'keeping a stiff upper lip' while thinking of 'King and Country' as you 'Rule Britannia' when you and your good lady wife 'do your duty' ?

Remember, 'Don't Panic, and Buy More Flags'

This post has been brought to you buy 'Flag waving UK' a hobbiest magazine written by and for those who see Flag waving as a way to express national identity. Remember 'Unity through faith, faith through Flag waving'

'Flag waving Uk' is a magazine run for the benefit of 'Flags.R.us' a multinational company helping Countries find their national identity through flags and discriminatory social media posts as to why their country/ religion is better than anyone else's, and how everyone else's country is badly run, its people no better than savages, its government mad up of organised crime members, and its national religion no better than some drunken folklore scribble.

You can invest in the in Bitcoin 'flagwaving' Terms and conditions apply. You will lose all your money, but only after 10 months of watching your investment rise to 8000% before completely collapsing.

Have you tried it with bacon and maple syrup? If i find I have too much waffle, I add both ingredients to re-address the taste balance.

Tribalism?
A symbol of peace and good works was inverted back in the 1930's and look where that led .
There is a place for flags public buildings, places of worship military establishments.
For the rest all flags can be seen as decisive by many.

Supporters at rugby games this afternoon will be showing their allegiance, peacefully and respectfully - but rugby has always been like that.

Perhaps the proliferation of St George's Cross flags has occurred because the population of England feel threatened - or oppose their money being given away to illegals?

The Art Gallery in our village has long had a Palestinian flag on display, but now there is an outbreak of Union Flags on our lampposts. I doubt that the Reform Ltd. Council will be removing them.

..I'm supposed to do what now, with my posts?

Snoopy, don't worry about it. I am the worst proof reader ever. The more you write the better you will get at it.
There are about six or seven* different pod-casts on the net from Alan Moore, about the sheer joy that writing can bring.. writing for its own sake, and for the writers' own amusement of simply following an idea on paper to see where it leads. Terry Pratchett once wrote that writing is the most fun things anyone can do with their clothes on. As the garage door is still broken, my bikes in pieces and still two weeks before my next cardiology appointment, I'm inclined to agree with him.
