Strathpuffer '26

Post by Navrig »

It all started last October, when at a wedding, my friend's daughter said she and some friends had entered the Strathpuffer '26. I am not blaming the wine but before thinking it through I volunteered to be their support........

I'm now about to pack my car with so much stuff and I am not competing. Heaven knows what the ladies are trying to squeeze into their cars.

This extreme snow and cold has thrown many of my plans and thoughts into turmoil. I've been following the weather reports and weather warnings very closely. Mostly because my daughter had to be in Skye (from East Lothian, via Aberdeen) at the start of this week and we were concerned about her safety. Stubbornly she insisted on moving and arrive Aberdeen Monday and then Skye on Tuesday evening. However all this analysis has highlighted what these ladies are facing.

I'm very nervous and all I'm doing is keeping some food warm/hot, boiling water, helping with bike maintenance and watching their rest times.

Wish me luck but, if you can, wish the ladies much more.

I'll get some photos and post them here eventually.
