£25 just to get to a hospital appointment. I went to catch the bus, but they were running late because of temporary traffic lights, so I decided I could be less late by walking to the taxi rank in town. I had a taxi once before when the bus drive past without stopping.
Meanwhile, a little Googling tells me that these injuries have been well known for decades, and airbags only reduce the risk for people of average height. They seem to be making injuries worse for the tall and the short. I think it's high time there was a switch to turn them off, if there isn't one already.
