Hi there! We will be traveling from the US and plan to go to St. Petersburg, Estonia, around the coast and maybe as far as Minsk. We're still very much in the planning stage and would love any information and pointers you can give.
A few specific issues:
1) Spare parts - can we find bike shops in the Baltic area easily or do we bring everything we can think of!
2) Transporting bikes - I'm a budget traveler - I want to see the world with little expense! So, when the airlines want to charge me $80 per bike each way...well there has to be something else! I am an accomplished seamstress and have though of making a 'bike bag' - and suggestions?
3) Web sites, I haven't found anything bike realted specific to the Baltic area...anyone aware of interesting sites for the area?

im not 1oo per cent sure but i would say yull have no problem getting mountain bike parts;as far as i know only u s airlines charge for bikes long haul;try the rest,gud trip
