CTC sign

Post by jack »

I have seen a CTC winged wheel sign on what was a B&B. I am keen to purchasse this, if it is for sale, from the new houseowners. Does anyone have any idea what a reasonable price would be. It is quite old and not in very good condition.

Is it one on this site?

http://www.wingedwheels.info/

It seems to indicate a price of £200 - £300.

Personally, I think its a shame when they are taken from their original sites. They are a small part of cycling history and should be left in situ.

The new houseowner is not prepared to sell, so end of story (at the moment anyway).

Didn't I see something somewhere - possible in one of the 'history' articles in Cycle - that said that these signs remained the property of the CTC?
