CTC Membership praises

Post by Spider »

I remember a CTC Membershop Woes thread on here a while back so just thought I'd share a positive experience I had this week.

I emailed them with my new address details and requested a new card as I didn't get one when I renewed and this makes it difficult to get discounts.

Also cheekily asked for some mudguard stickers to put on my fixed wheel to confuse the hipsters in this fair city and....

Got a very nice email back promising all would be in the post ASAP - it is nice to know there are people at the end of the line looking after our interests :D

Well I wish those nice CTC folks would help me out. Some 3 weeks ago I sent a nice letter to the CTC asking for some 20 memberships leaflets, the letter was send 1st class (if that means anything these days) and I also put 2 1st class stamps inside to help with there postage as yer do. I`m still waiting and waiting.

Well I called the main admin line (01483 238300) last week to request some "Guidelines for Group riding" to send to new CTC members in our area. I spoke to Julie. She sent the leaflets to me and I received them about 4 days after calling. Although the membership department has the new membership leaflets it's often easier to just ask National Office.

As you say a phone call would probably have been a lot quicker than post, but with money being a bit tight in my household at the moment and our Group club funds don`t really cover the cost of my phone calls. I went for the `snail post` this way the cost comes out of club funds.
I`m still waiting!

At last! Those new memberships forms arrived this morning, and it only took one letter and three emails.
Many thanks Julie Rand

Would yer believe it! I got another ten CTC memberships forms through the post this morning. But sadly they are all out of date! What a waste of time and our money. Re-cycle bin here I come.
