Can a AW be fitted into a SA 5 sprinter shell?

I wondered if there was any method of fitting an SA (eg AW) 3 speed into the UK built SA 5 speed shell ?

Standard shell measurements are on Tony Hadland's website. Most SA (unbraked) hubs from the mid-20th century until today use standard shell dimensions and threads.
