They seem too good to be true. I want to use a Campag rear changer and Veloce 10sp levers with a 10 speed caassette on a Shimano 105 rear hub.
Does this cassette realy do what they say? and if so why doesn't anyone else seem to stock it?
Does anyone have a web address for Evolution please?
Chris
Evolution - Campagnolo compatible 10 speed cassettes.
Or look at a JTEK shiftmate - it'll pay for itself by the time you've gone through a few cassettes.

Has anyone tried a 10 speed Shimano wheel directly on a 10 speed Campag' setup?
According to CTC webpage Campag' pitch = 4.15mm & Shimano = 4.35.
That's only a difference of 0.2 mm per click.
Therefore overall = 1.8 mm difference from end to end.
If the changer was set to the middle of the cassette then that = 0.9 mm out at top or bottom gear.
Does this work satisfactory?

As to the above Campag splines are quite different from Shimano so one cassette does not fit the other. What is required is for a cassette with the approprate spline pattern to be re-spaced. This is what the Evolution cassette seem to offer. I have now ordered one so will post the result shortly.

Chris
I now have an Evolution 13-28 10sp cassette, Campag spacing fitted to a Shimano 105 (9speed) hub.
I have not got the chain & gears yet to try it. Due to Campags spacing being wider than Shimano the cassette has to be wider. Normally this would mean that the locking ring would not reach the threads.
The new cassette has the 4 largest sprockets paired onto 2 carriers. ie the 9th & 10th sprockets are both rivetted to a single carrier. The 10th sprocket overhangs the back of the cassette putting the chain closer to the spokes. On the outboard end (sprockets 1-6 are all loose,) the 1st sprocket overhangs the outboard end a little and the locking ring has a LOT more thread than a Shimano locking ring. This puts the 1st spocket and chain very close to the line of the locknut. If this proves to be a problem I can add a washer to the axle on the drive side & adjust the dishing.
When I get the rest of the bits I'll update this post.
