Last Saturday my much loved Thorn Raven bike was stolen from Millenium Square in Bristol.
It is dark red, compact frame, drop handle bars, black brooks saddle, rohloff hub gear, quite a small frame (I'm 5'4")
Its quite unusual so if anyone see one please let me know. I'm desperate to get it back

Sorry to hear of your loss, Jane. Just wondering (I've not been up there fir a while) is there CCTV coverage which may have picked up the thief?

Yes, the CCTV caught the thieves walking away this the bike(s). Another one was stolen at the same time a green Saracen mountain bike.
Police havn't looked at it yet - still waiting to allocate an officer to it.

Can you go to the media -Points West etc - and use that to put pressure on the police to act quickly? If the CCTV pictures are clear, then they may well recognise the thieves - easy open and shut case for them. Publicity also will make it harder for the thieves to sell an fairly distinctive bike.

There is no doubt that it is your beautiful bike on Ebay. Description fits exactly, I was considering bidding for it and had a nasty feeling and wanted to check it out. I did a Google search for Stolen Thorn Bike and found this site.
Bidding ends on Wednesday night so I think you need to act fast.

Looking at his feedback profile, he sells a lot of gadgets. He also sold another bike recently - a Trek - similarly poorly described.Is there a way of 'phoning Ebay to alert them to this?

EBAY LISTING NOW 250451392817 looks very iffy and it is a Bristol seller with poor Feedback rating.
I have informed Jane of this by email but if someone has her telephone number please call her!

I sent a message to Jane days ago, but she was away. Thorn Bikes informed her yesterday (by phone) and it is being investigated.
