Puy de Dome
Puy de Dome
I intend to ride this in the summer. My information is that this is permitted 0700-0900 Weds and Suns. Has anyone definitely made the ride at these times?
Re: Puy de Dome
The road is only open for cyclists during very limited periods (when other vehicles are prohibited). In 2006 this is 7-9am on Wednesdays and Sundays between 1 May and 30 September.

Just shows the different attitude the French have got towards cycling - they even close the road for them...

I've done it on a Monday.
It took a little bit of smiling and "I've ridden all the way from the UK to ride your wonderful French mountain" and I was waved through
Its an excellent climb.
