if you had an hour with an expert.....

Hyperthetically talking if you had an hour to talk to a LEJOG / JOGLE "expert" what would you ask them? Anything from what is the most important thing not to forget to take to route planning advice.
We are off in the next few weeks and I'm paranoid I have forgotten to do/buy something that maybe one of these questions may prompt me in to doing!!
Thanks
Simon

Where do you regret not stopping and having a look around?
Where did you get lost (so I can get a better map of that bit)?

It's not answering your question directly, but remember that you are cycling through the heart of 'civilisation'. Anything you do forget should be quite easy to buy (this is the approach I used, although in the end I didn't need to do so).
People at home got me quite stressed out as though I was doing a 1000 miles non-stop across outer Mongolia... happily that's not the case! Just make sure you can deal with basic mechanicals and have somewhere to keep an adequate supply of food and water, and I'll bet you'll be okay.
In retrospect an easy guide to getting out of Bristol city centre towards the Severn crossing would have been nice (this is where I got lost, and had to ring someone with access to Google Maps to steer me).
My hot tip is, take a compass. I kept mine on the bar bag and it proved very handy in quite a lot of urban areas, where I might have got vectored off to one side or the other (Hereford is the best example. Without noticing I ended up doing a complete 180 on the bit of dual).

If there's such a beast as a LEJOG/JOGLE "expert", I'd say we have it in our very own MickF. The man is a mine of information on the end-to-end and willingly imparts to all.

Yep I agree 100% and you'll be pleased to know that Mick will be in the film we are making and to which these questions will put, along with many others!

Now I've met Mick and I have a question about your film.
Are you making a horror movie?
>;o)
Kidding, of course. Where might we get to see this film once it is produced?

Hi Gazza!
From what I can remember, you're no oil painting either!
(only kidding too!)

You may be kidding but I'm afraid that's true (as my wife will attest).

Someone is leaving LE on Tuesday .....
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
It will be very unsettled with rain or showers at times, and some of these will be heavy and prolonged. Very strong easterly winds should ease by Tuesday afternoon.

See you in the afternoon, I'll be replacing my mudguards and wearing Goretex!!!!
