Tifosi

I spotted the Tifosi CK7 whilst searching for a new tourer.

It's alot (lot lot) more than I wanted to spend, but it's ......well...its pretty and looks like it's built up with good stuff. Only problem is I can't find anything about the manufacturer on the Internet, only that they're imported by a company called 'Chicken'. As far as I can see...they appear to make glasses?!

So...half decent bike - or an expensive waste of money??

Not used the bikes but they have pretty good raps as race bike frames and the ally frames are pretty light at around 1.5kg. They sell them at a very well respected bike shop not far from me (byercycles South bedfordshire) they've been around for donkeys with man/wife owners. If their selling them then it cant be all bad. However if you can put a bike together yourself consider buying just the frame/frame & forks for instance Fatbirds have the CK7 at £190/195. The slightly older CK6 is identical geometry & you could probably save some money getting one of those. You'd then have £540 to spend putting on it exactly what you want including a decent set of wheels as the Miche excite are pretty low end.

There's also a large blue one on offer at Chainreaction for £650 http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=26673 AND they have a set of Mavic wheels on them which you could flog & put the money you saved towards a handbuilt set.
