I've just seen one of these for sale in a local 2nd hand shop and I'm wondering whether it could be used as the basis of a replacement for my previous touring bike (which was a steel rigid mtb but probably not as good as this one).

Does anyone know anything about them? It has 700SE on the seat tube.
