do you mean at the top of the barrel? If so maybe a couple of holes and self-tapping screws from the side might help?

Or have I misunderstood what you mean?

cheers

Thanks for the replies - self tapping screws are the obvious answer - too obvious for me to think of ! As for those 'rubbish' leather washers - I found they need thoroughly softening up with lots of grease before they start to work - once they do start to work, then the air pressure helps to shape them correctly.

I'll bring this back to life again!
finally found leather washers at Winstanleys .
Now the white hard plastic plunger that supports the main washer at the bottom of the rod has crack.
Any ideas?

indeed they do.... but they don't presently (or for the last couple of years) have

- 28mm silca pump washers

and they have never had

- silca pump pistons (as needed by Mattsccm)

If anyone needs a leather washer to fit a 28mm silca pump, I have a small quantity of them.

cheers

Am looking for a 28mm Leather washer for a Silca track pump. Have you any still available as you posted in July 2015? If so would be interested. Here's hoping with everything crossed.

I am also interested in said washer, if you have any left. Would be most grateful. Surely there's sufficient demand for a UK supplier to hold some stock.
Thanks
