Are you a carnivore?
I don't believe I've ever met anyone who was a carnivore. The overwhelming majority eat what nature intended - a mixture of both meat and vegetables. The name for this is omnivore.
Omnivores don't require meat with every meal. A vegan meal should be perfectly acceptable (as it was to the OP) and actually makes more sense if you're mass catering!

The OP was actually making the point that he didn't go to a cycling conference to be lectured on veganism.
Why is it any more sense and acceptablefor vegans to be catered for than to also cater for those who like to eat meat.
It is no more sense to mass cater for vegans than it is to include meat in the food supplied.

I'm not questioning the OPs opposition to being lectured on food, just subsequent posters views that providing a vegan meal for everyone is wrong. It doesn't have to be political and is makes more sense for catering as it is inclusive. Vegetarians, vegans, certain religions etc can't eat meat, whereas a vegan meal is perfectly fine for an omnivore! Do you really requre meat with every meal?

How come God has been brought into the topic
He's omnipresent isn't he?

Because you only need to make one meal that everyone can eat?

Is that a can of worms I see being opened!

Assuming johncharles was simply being pedantic (does the pope wear red socks?), the I'll just point out by 'God' I simply meant whatever mechanism was responsible for the design/evolution of the human digestive system.

So it's okay for a vegan to impose their type of food onto someone who isn't . Why can't someone have meat in every meal if that is what they want.
I don't try and impose my diets onto anyone else so why is it okay for others to impose theirs on me, I do not see that it makes any more sense to only provide vegan food and not to include meat products.

Think I already answered that one:-

I don't think anyone is imposing anything. If you only supply meat based food you automatically exclude people. If you only provide vegetarian food nobody is excluded. Seems pretty simple to me.

No Goji berries were harmed in the preparation of this pudding, though an apple was grievously grated, and the yacon root howled mournfully as it gave up its syrup.Made in a facility in which nuts are exploited.
