1" Threadless Stems

Where can I find some? I'm looking for 1" on the steerer side and 1" or 31.8mm on the handlebar side. Length, 110 or 120mm seems about right. Would prefer alloy with four bolts on the handlbar side. Inexpensive is a bonus, of course
Thanks for all and any pointers.

Most stems come with a shim to take them down to 1" from the ubiquitous 1.125".

Check out - SJS, Ribble, Wiggle, Chainreaction & eBay.
Some stems come with a shim to reduce 1.1/8" to 1" steerer.
Generally now handlebars seem to have standardised on 25.8mm and 31,8.
There are still a few for other sizes such as 25.4 (1") & 26.mm

Aha, thanks. I get it now.
Bar clamp sizes seem to be mainly:
31.8
26.0
25.8
25.4
Steerer clamps are:
28.6 (1 1/8") Very common
25.4 (1") Very rare
So a shim is needed on a 1" steerer to get away from the rare and into the common ones. It's irritating that only some stems come with shims. If I buy a shim separately, I may have to cut it to stop it sticking out???

The shim used to be inside all stems when bought. It's certainly on all ours. "The" stems have it for definite, there are two in the shed right now.

If there isn't one in the stem you buy, try going round to your local bike shop and asking nicely. They will probably have stacks of shims and may well not charge, especially if they recognise you.
