Dave Russell Bicycle

Hi All,

I'm wondering if anyone else has got a custom built bike from Dave Russell....mine was built for me in 1990 and after much deliberation over buying a new bike, I decided to refurbish my one.

There must be others out there, but they're becoming very rare!

He built a touring frame for me in 1991. I went into the shop to get some transfers in 2000 and Dave remembered me. He died something just more than a year ago.

I heard Dave died in 2008 - sad to hear, but this is one of the reasons why i decided to refubish mine. I also managed to get an original head tube 'swan' transfer from H Lloyd Cycles, along with reproduction 531st transfers and down tube and seta tube transfers to match the originals. I had the frame shot blasted and resprayed by Dave Yates.
