Tyre choice

Given wide(ish) rims and plenty of clearance under mudguards, I'd always choose Marathon Plus tyres. For one of my bikes however I have Chrina rims and there's not a lot of space under the guard bridge so even the narrowest Marathon Plus doesn't fit. What do you experts recommend as the most durable 25mm tyre that is biased towards puncture-free touring and day rides rather than speed and weight?

Schwalbe Durano Plus are a good replacement.
(M+ are available in 25mm by the way, though they are still pretty big)

Vittoria randenneur (£13.99 SJS) are significantly smaller in profile than the Scwalbe marathon tyres. Much narrower and I believe, not quite as deep. Weight (Based on a 28mm tyre is approx. the same 500g, though slightly lighter). They are extremely durable and puncture resistent and still manage to "grip" the road. Max inflation pressure is supposed to be 60-70psi, though I've run them at approx. 100psi for seven years without an issue
On durability, I've found them incredible - a set of marathon tyres lasted two years, before they'd been stripped to the inner core. The Vittoria lasted five years on the back and seven on the front (The tyres now old enough I may be changing it simply due to the number of deep cracks appearing, due to age)

Panaracer Pasela will be bombproof for 2,500 miles, then you'll get 3 flats in a week and it's bin time.
