Can anyone recommend sites selling vintage Campad nouvo record or super record components from the late mid-late 1960s or early 70's?
Thanks
Alec

Ebay has quite a bit on. French ebay often has more than the uk site. http://www.ebay.fr On that site you may need to click on Auctions and buy it now ( Enchères & Achat Immédiat) because it sometimes defaults to searching the small ads.

I've got an N record in good nick, band on double levers,a Tipo large flange 36 hole front hub,(new cones),and a Tipo 40 hole rear dished for a six with rim,all good and shiny.
Trouble is they are in cornwall, where are you?I do sometimes wander around a bit.

Aha! I'm in London! I was thinking about Campag because of another thread I posted regarding a Holdsworth Super Mistral. It definitely had Campag components originally, but all that is left now is the seat post and headset. The rear wheel is being replaced, but I'm going to leave the front wheel, which has a Dunlop stainless steel rim and airlight hub. It also has Universal break calipers (model #61 - only center-pull model they did, so definitely worth keeping). Pedals are Berthet Lyotard no.23 by the looks of them. The cranks are old Stronglight 80. Maybe I could replace them?

I really would like to see more vintage Campag, but am not sure what options that leaves me, especially if I go for a fixed wheel.

My other question I've just thought is that i I go for a fixed wheel plus have a stainless steel front rim with old center-pull front brake caliper I've basically go no stopping power!! Any thoughts as to resolution?

I really do think you should cange that rim!
Although period alloy ones are not all that sanitary, even if yuu can find one.
I'm t in london with a car int he forseeable future,In Thurrock by plane, and tunbridge wells/Horley by car,but thats not really London, unless you use the term loosely!
I can send you any small pars i suppose.

I'll have a think about what I should do (rim might have to go purely for safety reasons), and appreciate the offer :-)
Cheers

Fair point :-) At the moment I'm working out a fixed wheel solution, but would also like to cost out restoring it with period componets. In this case I'm lacking a rim, hub...actually make that a wheel including cassette, rear mech, front mech + shifters (all band on). I remember the original shifters were bar end ones, but am interested in the ones you have.
