Hi Folks,
I've just got a brand new Sabbath September and was trying to remove the chain (SRAM PC1030). It seems to have a quick link similar to those on my other bikes but despite using copious ammounts of white spirit I can't manage to separate the magic link.
Do you any ideas?
many thanks in advance Andy

From SRAM concerning their 10 speed chains.
PowerLock
SRAM chain engineers developed PowerLock as a tool free, sure and consistent way to connect our 10 speed chains. While PL does not require special tools for install, the especially tight tolerances of 10 Speed drive trains mandated that each PowerLock is good for a one-time application only.

Thanks for your replies...
I guess the downside of the 10 speed gearbox is that i wont be able to whip the chain off so quickly for cleaning in future - what a pity. But surely the powerlock link should last longer than one application? It might be academic anyway as I can't seem to shift it by hand. They recommend prssing side plates together while bringing chain ends inwards...not easy to do in my opinion. the powerlink on my PC48 chain is a breeze provided it's clean.
