Abus/Onguard locks

I have one of each of these U locks and they both exhibit an irritating trait. Often, the key (the key type is rather similar for both brands) will not enter the keyway fully and and it can be a fair few moments of jiggling, twisting, and otherwise persuading the key to work. Anyone else had this difficulty? Any tips to cure it?

I suppose you've tried a squirt of the venerable GT85/WD40 etc.

I have. I have also tried graphite as well. I find that lubrication is more helpful in allowing the lock to turn whereas my problem is more getting the shaft of the key fully into the lock. It is also worth noting that these locks are relatively new, one is under a year old, the other a month or so

I would take them back and ask for a refund.I'd be worried if one day the key didn't go in at all, which will happen when your a)late b)its raining.
