(NOS) Steel rim rattles due to metal particle?

Post by SA_SA_SA »

I have a (NOS) Steel rim which rattles due to metal particle trapped within: is this OK or must it be removed somehow?

Unless it somehow jeopardises the rim's integrity, it'll be fine. But if there are any holes where you can insert a nozzle, a squirt of superglue inside can catch the object and hopefully keep it glued in place. I did this on a pair of steel forks successfully.
