Fire W B, I thought it reminded me of a New york artist and linked this thread to my brother, who asked if I was thinking of
Keith Haring as indeed I was, but couldn't just bring his name to mind.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_Haring
I see KH had form for bikes as well as his artworks, and Coarse Fabrication in New York (?) has painted up a bike in his style as a tribute.

I'm not sure they were trying hard enough, when compared to your's !
Was your's a nod to his style as well ? Excellent either way, good luck.
The only thing I've written on my bike with a marker is the tyre pressures - with no lacquer !

I've heard of Keith Haring but not that familiar with his broader work. But looking at what you posted he definitely has that doodle style.

That's the first time I've seen that bike. But they cheated, they didn't draw on it

Thanks for the support!

No pictures for a while so here's one to continue the thread.

Raleigh Record Ace in winter hack mode. Recently converted from fixed gear commuter to 5 speed freewheel. Built the rear wheel on a Sturmey Archer drum brake hub with Ambrosio P20 rim - have attained a good technique to get the tyres on (bl**dy tight rims).

Bottom bracket threads wore out a couple of weeks ago so fitted a cheap threadless bottom bracket and torqued it up good and tight with threadlocker. Winter schwalbe studded tyres fitted (cheap ones ex SPA).

Just done a 45 mile Sunday jaunt on some quiet undulating Highland roads and all good so far, the bottom bracket seems reasonably secure but the tyres really kill the ride. However I had them pumped up pretty hard as it wasn't really that icy.

So, roll on winter!!

excuse the poor photo, it was a bit too cold to ponce about getting an arty shot! I think the image comes up a bit bigger if you click on it.

Edit: forgot to add: with inspiration from Brucey, cheers!!

Ace !!!
Good on you for the 'nod' to Brucey, sorely missed on the forum, he does like a drum-brake, 'cheers' to him too !

1992 steel - mid-range TruTemper AVR double butted - mtb is not going to be "light"! But some health issues make it the most painless ride I have at present.

My favourite steed, CX rigged for light touring 50:50 paved/unpaved. 1x gearing, which I’d really like to alter 2x.

This isn't my bike. It's aflook's and I rotated the image so that everyone else didn't have to rotate their heads.
