cycling in the Faroe Isles

has anyone been cycling in the Faroes. I have toured most of the islands in Scotland and this year I fancy going to the Faroes but not sure what the cycling is like. Any info would be really useful - best places/islands to visit, or useful travel info ..etc

l've thought about cycling there myself as l was most impressed when l visited Thorshavn in 1976. l've heard the roads are good but there are tunnels running through the mountains and like Norway, maybe banned to bicycles.
Smyril Line have a lot of info: and they seem to run some of the hostels.
l'm sure l have more info somewhere at home.
