Sorry Niall. I don't want it posted on this board ( without clearance from management ).
Some kind person may scan it and send it to you as an email attachment.
Meanwhile I will try to get some guidelines on this sort of request.

Understood - I'd happily pay for the magazine if there is any way of getting it.

I would dearly like to provide pdfs of Cycle magazine articles, to members, via the CTC website. And I've been asking for the necessary pdfs for at least five years - to no avail.

If you think that this would be a useful service, all I can suggest is that you lobby your CTC councillor to demand that it is actioned.

In the meantime I'm afraid you'll have to realmail your request, with an old-fashioned stamped-addressed-envelope, to the CTC office, where some kind person will photocopy the page!

I own an Extrawheel trailer and I've read Chris Juden's article.
As I rememberit he had two criticisms. One concerned the sprung steel yoke and the possibility of this coming adrift from the rear axle QR. I've tested this but feel fairly confident that it is secure. I would imagine the guy that used it on the Canning Stock Route in Australia would say the same. The other point he had was in regard to the loading capacity given for the trailer. He thought, as I remember, that 30kg was too much for stable load-pulling and I think I agree with that. Other than that I think it was favourable.

I bought mine initially, as it was recommended by "Freedom Trailers" as the best one-wheel trailer. As I regarded their Y trailer as being the tops, I went with that and was not disappointed. I found the quality of construction good, and the design, simple and ingenious. It rides and tracks well, and I could never fill the 60 Litres bags that come with the trailer although now they offer 40L bags in a cheaper deal. As I would never dream of loading to anywhere near the 30kg max. Chris Juden's point really is of no concern to me.
The weight of the trailer is what attracted me. At just over 8lbs it's the lightest trailer available which made it ideal for touring. There is nothing on it that I can't fix and it's cheap. The only modification I made was to pad the internal frame with closed-cell foam to stop any potential wearing of the wheel-cover by sharp objects in the load.
