I haven't seen these primus stove clips. Does the stove stay on the bike when you cook? If it does, you wouldn't need to stop.

They had the right name when they called them
mess tins

.
As for primus stove clips, no self respecting bicycle pedaling Human Being would be without one IMO,especially during the depths of winter, one could fire up the stove still attached to the top tube, when wearing a cape it would provide bicycle central heating

.
Though pumping the stove under a cape whilst riding isn't such a good idea when passing a bus queue as I got arrested and even though I protested my inoccence had to sign some sort of register

Dynamo hub and decent fitted lights.
Makes the bike ready to go anytime, transforming it into a much more practical form of transport.

The Brompton. It's that simple. Under the desk, in the car, on my boat, on the train to London...

I'd say the mountain bike.
It got people cycling (including me) like never before.
Sadly car use has increased since at cycling's expense.

I need to acquire one of those. I have all that room in the main triangle of my touring bicycle that isn't being put to good use.

Ah Terrys. They made so many useful clips etc for bikes. I went to a mixed school and backin the sixties every girls bike had a Terrys hockey stick holder on the right fork leg.
Though the Japs have driven many old establsihed British manufacturers out of business they certainly haven't replaced them.

Allen key bolts for everything on the bike.
Makes repairs and maintenance far easier and fewer tools to carry

Having been a cyclist for 50 years + enjoying road, track, time trialing and of course touring along with club riding I think that I can say that the cycle frame, from steel to aluminium,aluminium/carbon and full carbon has had te greatest impact on my cycling, especially now when I realise that my 1981 531 Mercian is the most comfortable machine to ride of all the others.
Yes STIs and clipless pedals follow very close, but not Brooks saddles !
