Hi,
I wish to obtain a cargo trailer. It's use will be to take rubbish, grass cuttings in sacks to the tip, about 3 miles each way. I have a largish garden so a good carying capacity would be useful and is robust construction.
I was considering the Pashley trailer, but does anyone know better?

Take a look at a Carry Freedom Y Frame. See
www.carryfreedom.com
I have the small version. They come with a flat bed, and you can strap anything to them. I take the bed off, and bolt on a big wooden box that'll hold lots of stuff for the dump and then bring back a load of shopping.
For touring, the bed goes back on, and I strap a plastic suitcase on! Loadsa room!
Take a peek.

looks to be the perfect cargo trailer for you on e-bay. Item no 320077478124. Buy it now price £49.90 or make an offer.
Not my item, but not far from my needs. I am looking for a cycle trailer to tow my canoe about 2 miles down to where I launch. Canoe is 40" wide (and 14' long!) so most trailers not wide enough.

I like the look of the CF bamboo - have been building something along these lines (have stopped until the weather gets better) and will post some pics when/if finished.
Although the Bamboo is probably a bit heavier than comercial models, you can, at least, change the size to match your requirements and it's a lot cheaper than buying one!

There are also good links here:

I'd certainly look at the Carry Freedom range.

I had a Bob Yak last year which I really liked for touring but I don't think it is the right trailer for lugging loads around locally.
By mistake I sold my Yak ( I was in the middle of buying a recumbent trice - which I didn't buy) and I have bought a Carry Freedom Y frame for my touring this year.
I am sure it will suit being used for all sorts of fairly heavy bulky loads and it is very adaptable.
I personally don't like it as much as the Bob Yak (I really like the advantage of a single wheel following my rear wheel track) but will report on it after this years Summer camping tour in France
